• We select ventures that make a meaningful impact in Rhode Island and the surrounding New England region.While many of our ventures may already operate or create change globally, their work must also demonstrate a direct benefit to our local communities.

Both! SEG works with a wide range of legal entities and structures for social enterprises, including for-profits and nonprofits. We also have a growing number of co-ops and B corps in our ecosystem, and we work with hybrids (for-profits that may have a non-profit affiliate) or non-profits with a for-profit subsidiary.

• 14 two-hour workshops, a mix of in-person and virtual by topic
• Fall sessions in the evenings; spring sessions during the day
• Regular check-ins with program leads plus advisor and network referrals
• Online content, community, and resources for added support

SEG invests over $5,000 in each Incubator participant, but we do not charge for participation. Grant funding and generous donations make this possible.

While there’s no fee, we encourage Pay It Forward contributions from alumni to help fuel our mission and support the next wave of impactful entrepreneurs.
